MO7S (Monism, LA)
Djing since 1993. MO7S, got his start cutting and scratching during the early years of turntablism. Through the mid nineties, the early New York and New England club and rave scenes inspired the sound he still plays today. “Maxi-minimal Acid Bass,” with roots in techno, acid, dark garage and breaks.
He has worked for several record stores including Satellite as buyer and DJ. By the turn of the millennium, he had performed internationally and opened for everyone from John Digweed to The Jungle Brothers. His editorial contributions reached magazines such as Rinse, XLR8R & Urb and more. In 2004, he moved to California and began curating for his label, Monism Music. By 2010, Monism had been licensed to TV & Film. He was featured on Kid Capri's "Masters of The Mix" on BET & VH1 and placed as a National finalist. His was later featured on several episodes of American Dad! on TBS and FOX. He continues to produce with upcoming releases on Tight Groove, 3AM Devices, Monism and more. His 4th studio album is rumored to be released later this year.
